Speedway, IN – Aaron Telitz put his name at the top of the charts in both practice sessions for rounds five and six of the Pro Mazda Series at the 2.4 mile road course of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Telitz, a native of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is a rookie competing in the Pro Mazda Series but has had experience running at the Speedway last season in the USF 2000 National Championship Series. Telitz paced the field of the USF2000 opening race last season and led 11 of the 19 laps until a slight mistake left him to settle for third place when the checkers waved.
Now in the Pro Mazda series Telitz is in second place in the points, twelve behind his Team Pelfrey teammate Pato O’Ward. Telitz has a victory at St. Petersburg in the second race of the season.
The best lap turned by Telitz was in the opening practice session with a run around the track in 1 minute and 23.671 seconds. His best lap in the second session was just under a second slower but still the quickest of the field in the session.
