2015 Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall Of Fame Inductees

The Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame, located within the Wisconsin Automotive Museum in Hartford, Wisconsin has just released the names of inductees who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday November 7, 2015. Because of a tie in the voting for the tenth and final spot, the Hall of Fame will induct eleven legends of short track racing in this the ninth class of inductees to be honored.

The inductees listed alphabetically are:

LOWELL BENNETT of Neenah, a seven time late model track champion at Slinger Speedway, as well as a five time Slinger Nationals winner.

RICH BICKLE JR. of Edgerton, a two time Slinger Speedway track champion and four time Slinger Nationals winner.

JIM BLAZEK of Franklin, a Sportsman and dirt late model driver who amassed over forty feature victories in a sixteen year career on Milwaukee area tracks.

DONNY GOEDEN of Kewaskum, a two time Eastern Wisconsin super modified champion, the 1999 Interstates Racing Association (IRA) 410 sprint car series champion and the 2014 Plymouth Dirt Track 360 sprint car track champion.

DAVE MOULIS of Johnsburg, Illinois, a four time Wilmot Raceway 410 sprint car track champion, a 1992 Interstates Racing Association (IRA) 410 sprint car series champion, two time winner of the Wilmot Open for 410 sprint cars and two timer winner of the King of Wisconsin sprint car challenge.

PETE OSTROWSKI of Troy Center, a four time Eastern Wisconsin super modified champion, and 2007 IMCA style modified track champion at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway, veteran of over 30 years of racing, winner of over 65 feature events.

BILL PRIETZEL of Hubertus, veteran driver of Sportsman and dirt late models on Milwaukee area tracks, 1977 Hales Corners Sportsman track champion, three time Mid- American Stock Car series champion, has raced with SCCA and NASCAR.

JOHN QUINN formerly of Watertown, the late founder/editor of the CHECKERED FLAG RACING NEWS, with his wife Doris.

RAY TOFT of Antioch, Illinois, helped to form the IRA racing association in its early modified years, past promoter of the Wilmot Raceway and Lake Geneva Raceway.

DAVE WATSON of Janesville, past late model track champion at Rockford, Lake Geneva, Slinger and Madison, USAC late model stock car Rookie of the Year in 1977, also competed in NASCAR and SCCA.

JOHN ZIEGLER of Madison, track champion at Slinger, winner of the Slinger Nationals, two time track champion at Madison, winner of National Short Track Nationals at Rockford.

A banquet and induction ceremony will be held at the Schauer Arts and Activities Center in Hartford, Wisconsin on Saturday November 7, 2015.
